H
ORIZON
Formed in 2005 after a meeting between Lee
Bradshaw and Richard Panaia, Horizon has been recording their debut
album "33 - The Blood from The Shadow" which is now complete.
Honing their performance with a series of shows in
one of the world's most isolated cities – Perth, Western Australia –
Horizon now boasts a live line up that features some of Australia's
finest rock musicians including Angus Burchall (drums - John Farnham
band), Stuart Fraser (guitar - Noiseworks/John Farnham band) and James
Ryan (guitar - Vanessa Amorosi). It was with this lineup that Horizon
has recently completed a live in the studio DVD recording in
Melbourne’s famous Armstrong Studios (formally AAV and Metropolis) at
the invitation of legendary Multi ARIA award winning engineer/producer
Doug Brady that will be available to view from the Armstrong Studios
website in the near future (www.armstrongstudios.com.au ).
“33 – The Blood from The Shadow” - Horizon’s
maverick debut - spanning 20 songs over TWO discs with an
extraordinary artwork layout, is a concept album that flies in the
face of the accepted industry standard and shows Horizon’s commitment
to content, quality and value.
Produced around the country by Lee Bradshaw and Richard Panaia, the
record features performances by Brett Garsed (John Farnham, Nelson),
Stuart Fraser (Noiseworks, John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Ross Wilson),
Angus Burchall (John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes), Patrick Reale, Stuart
James and Quentin Edmonds, and also utilizes the mixing and
engineering skills of multi ARIA award winning engineer Doug Brady
(engineer “Whispering Jack”- biggest selling domestic album of all
time) on pivotal track “Forever On My Mind” with the entire album
mastered by Martin G. Pullan (Deep Purple, Ian Gillan, Wes Carr, The
Black Sorrows, Jimmy Barnes).
Horizon is now beginning its radio and marketing
campaign in support of the album’s release in early 2010 with details
of touring to follow.
