ESONANCE PROJECT
Powerful, Dynamic, Uplifting, Atmospheric, Virtuosic, World Class,
Progressive, Melodic Rock. The 4 accomplished members of this
Australian band perform to captivate and excite. Sublime musical
prowess & performance featuring memorable songs with dynamic hooks &
lyrics with a positive message.
In late
2007, Graham and Donna Greene received a communication from Vietnam,
requesting their presence and performance at a multinational concert
to be held in Hanoi on the 10th of January 2008. Up to this point,
Graham had been performing as a solo guitarist, playing instrumentals
with his band, The Happy Sinners, which included Donna as vocalist on
the songs that were included on Graham’s albums. As chance would have
it, Donna had just released an EP of vocal tracks, both from her work
with Graham and newly–written material. The title of the CD and title
track is Resonance (Spirit of Man).
Knowing
that a band presence was preferable to appearing under one person’s
name, Graham and Donna decided that Graham Greene & The Happy Sinners
would undergo a transformation for the Vietnam concert, and so
Resonance Project was born.
The
concert, at Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium was a huge success with
Resonance Project playing to a live crowd of some 15,000 and a TV
audience of six million across South East Asia. The performance made
local stars of the Australians with their new Vietnamese friends, and
set the stage for a new direction for the band when they returned
home. Resonance Project was now an entity unto itself, featuring the
stunning vocals of Donna Greene and the virtuoso guitar attack of
Graham Greene. Along with the rhythm section of Jim Awram (bass) and
Tommy Ions (drums), the band has started playing live in their home
town of Perth and producing new songs that have been hailed
universally as “the stuff”.
It is a
great honour for Resonance Project to have had some of the band’s
material used in world wide campaigns by

as well as raising funds for the Orange Children’s charity via their
Vietnam performance.
After
such inspirational beginnings, Resonance Project are now on the road
to establishing themselves as the benchmark for Progressive Melodic
Rock in the Great South Land.
Reviews (Audio & Video):
Procopy (AU) on Resonance (Spirit of Man):
'Making its debut at the
recent Guitar Heroes:Guitar Fest (Oct ‘07) was the first 'solo' CD
from Donna Greene, titled Resonance (Spirit Of Man) - a collection of
five songs (co-written with partner & renowned guitarist Graham
Greene). Mastered and duplicated here at Procopy, this is a
truly great album... a breath of fresh air.'
US Review on Video ‘Resonance (Spirit of Man):
We enjoy
being flippant, irreverent, humorous, and nonchalant, but there ARE
moments in which some things should be taken seriously. Donna's skills
as a Vocalist are truly evident in how she evokes the spirit of the
song in her performance. I believe every word she says and found
myself drawn into the plight of those to whom this video is aimed at
helping. Graham and the Band do a tremendous job of laying down a
foundation that fully supports the message. I felt the emotion of the
entire Band, and that's the mark of superb musicianship. As moving as
it is rocking, this video is poignant, entertaining, and informative.
It's got it all folks. Resonance (Spirit of Man) is more than just a
music video. It's a multi media experience that reminds us that rock
can be fun, but can also serve a very powerful purpose in the fight
against injustice.
